Christopher's Salon is now accepting sock donations for individuals and families in need. We collect the socks, and then deliver them directly to local shelters where they are distributed to those in need. So, if you have a few extra bucks grab a few pairs to bring with you to your appointment, or just to drop off. A couple pairs of socks can mean so much to someone who doesn't have any.
*Note: We can only accept new socks*
Christopher's Salon was recently awarded a Holiday Decorating Award from Keego Harbor's Department of Parks & Recreation! Christopher's Salon's decorations were done by Alan Bahrke, a local Landscaping Designer. He works very hard on all of our holiday decorations, so we are ecstatic for Alan in receiving this award! If you haven't seen our Salon's decorations, swing by before they are taken down (which will be sometime after the new year).
Cathy H., was nominated for Haircare-4-Caregivers by her friend Kathy H., who sent a very nice nomination letter! Cathy, while she is hearing impaired, she has a great attitude about life, and is very supportive to her son, who happens to have Autism and Down-Syndrome. Cathy is a busy and beautiful woman who we invited to our salon to pamper her, and show her that we believe in caring for our communities' caregivers and those who spend the majority of their time looking out for, or caring for other people. Cathy is a very kind woman and we really enjoyed hosting her in our salon! Thank you so much Cathy, and we hope to see you again!

As many of you know, on February 2nd 2020, Christopher's Salon hosted Super Blow Sunday for the 2nd year in a row! This years event was a huge success and had a great turn-out. All proceeds from the event were donated to FAR Therapeutic Arts & Recreation! Thank you to everyone who helped make this possible!!!
As many of you know, the Stylists & Staff at Christopher's Salon are a family. Therefor, we wanted to take a moment to congratulate Chris & Alan on their Hawaii wedding. They were married on the Beach on Tuesday September 10th 2019, which was the 9-year anniversary of the day they met. During their wedding ceremony they honored the memory a very special man that is deeply imprinted on both of their hearts and souls named James (Jimmy) Patrick Moore. Jimmy was extremely close with both Alan and Chris, and his memory is greatly honored and continually celebrated within their lives. Jimmy was instrumental in the development of the lasting relationship that has led to the marriage between Chris and Alan, and to not mention him when congratulating them would be an insult to his memory.
Chris and Alan are both incredible people with big hearts and they both go out of their way to help those in need. No one is more deserving of a dream-wedding on the beaches of Hawaii then these two wonderful, giving, kind, caring and compassionate men. From everyone here at the Salon,
Congratulations to Chris and Alan! We love you so much, and we're all extremely happy for you!
Love Always,
The Salon Family!
Ashley, Drew, Kevin, Larry, Warren & Eric!

FAR held an incredible event last night (Wednesday November 13th) at the Seligman Performing Arts Center, at Detroit Country Day School. The event was Titled, "Love Makes the World Go Round" and featured clients of FAR who are undergoing Art, Music, and Recreational Therapy. It was a beautiful evening, and the show was absolutely incredible! As many of you know, Christopher sits on the board of directors for FAR and Chris and Ashley both volunteered their skills to some of the performers. Seeing these wonderfully talented people get up on that stage and bear their soul is something so special and inspiring to see. If you've never been to a FAR event, then please look into this wonderful organization as they are making such a big difference in so many people's lives! Thanks to everyone at FAR, their wonderful clients, the volunteers, staff, and supporters!

The Staff from Christopher's Salon annually attend FAR's events, and did so again this year volunteering hair & makeup services to some of the performers. It's one of the many ways our Salon stays involved in, and gives back to our community. For more information on this wonderful organization, click here.
